Th e district governor will lead 50 clubs and 1\,400 Rotarians\, working wit h a global network of volunteer leaders who dedicate their time and talen t to tackle the world’s most pressing humanitarian challenges. Rotary con nects 1.2 million members from more than 200 countries and geographical a reas. As governor\, Hamilton is excited to help clubs develop new ways to grow Rotary\, show people the opportunities that membership brings and i ncrease the service club’s impact in the district. Many clubs are meeting virtually and prospective members are most welcome. Hamilton’s in volvement in Rotar yis a way of living up to one of his favourite quotes from Martin Luther King\, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?” The recently retired general manager of the Delta Optimist\, Hamilton is looking forward to travelling the provin ce\, virtually and in person\, to see the district and meet the Rotarians responsible for making a difference in their communities and across the globe. COVID 19 – Safety Plan Rotary Club of Vancouver Fraserview As our club returns to regular lunch meetings we have worked through exactl y how it will work to keep our members safe and the facility. Following are the steps people will need to take when attending the lunch meeting: We have a private room for our use at Seasons in the Park\, only our memb ers and 1 server from the restaurant will be in this space. Our server wi ll be wearing a face mask Table will be limited to the number of people a llowed under the restaurant guidelines\, we will simply use more tables. When arriving and parking\, we strongly suggest for you to use a mobile a pp as a touch free way to park Note there will be no valet available to p ark cars in the foreseeable future. If you need to use the parking meter\ , then please use tap rather than slide in credit card\, there is no long er coin options an the meter\, and please clean hands after the transacti on. Each person needs to wear a mask when arriving at the facility\, we w ill provide one if you do not have. When entering each person needs to us e the hand sanitizer that we will have at the entrance\, please be mindfu l of not lining up closely when entering. Once you are in the restaurant masks do not have to be worn with the following exceptions:Any Speaker at the front or in the room must wear a mask when addressing the entire gro up (projection re louder voices) Anyone at a table who either asks a ques tion of the entire room\, or is asked to speak to the entire room\, will have to raise the volume of their voice and we ask that you put on the ma sk before speaking. O Canada – because this is singing in a group\, all p eople that sing need to place on a mask before starting\, anyone not wear ing a mask is asked to simply to stand and not sing. We will not be abl e to shake hands or hug\, and polite\, brief elbow touch is okay. Items that are handed out like pins\, will be handed out in a plastic baggie\, and not pinned on the person. The same with any kind of certificate etc. We would like to keep the meetings as short and timely as possible to re duce the amount of time we are in the facility\, but for the safety of me mbers\, but also for the safety of the staff and facility. For paying due s\, lunch fees etc\, we will not be able to accept cash for the foreseeab le future\, please sign up and pay online\, we will leave the payment por tal open for 2 days after the event so that you can pay after the fact if you forget and show up with cash. Or you can use credit cards at the lu nch to pay. BUT NO CASH WILL ACCEPTED. Business cards CANNOT be exchanged . These protocols are for all members and guests. If you are bringing or inviting a guest then please ensure that they have read these protocols. You are responsible for your guest.
